Workly Safely With Corrosives

Although OSHA does not offer specific regulations regarding corrosives, the safe use of all chemicals in the workplace, including corrosives is regulated by OSHA's hazard communication standard located in 29 CFR 1910.1200 The hazard communication standard requires companies to inform employees about the hazards of chemicals that are used in the workplace, including corrosives and how to protect themsevles from those hazards. This lesson covers corrosives, hazards of corrosives, labels, material safety data sheets (MSDSs), and first-aid procedures.
